Manam Volcano Erupting in Papua New Guinea

Yesterday afternoon at 1:02 PM local time, a volcano event at Manam occurred in Papua New Guinea. The volcano's current status has still been marked as erupting by monitors in the region and the GDACS has placed an orange alert in the region. This volcano is located in am area where 140,018 people reside in a 100 km area. UN OCHA's HAO unit in Papua New Guinea is actively monitoring the situation.
