Mt. Merapi in Indonesia Erupting, Evacuations Underway

From the Jakarta Post:

- Lava started flowing from Mt. Merapi at 0200hrs Thursday (local time). It currently has a radius of 200m

- Around 5000 villagers have already evacuated, but authorities expect 37000 people must evacuate if the eruption grows.

- Alert level has not been raised (raising the level makes evacuations mandatory)
