Earthquake in Haiti - Tsunami Watch for Dominican Republic, Cuba and Bahamas

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 has struck the nation of Haiti. A tsunami watch has been issued for the neighboring Dominican Republic, along with Cuba and the Bahamas.

Reuters is reporting that both mobile and land telephone lines are down in the capital city of Port-au-Prince. Readers are reminded that sending SMS text messages via cell phone can sometimes be effective when telephones are not working.

I have no idea how to help, but I will try to negotiated with UPS, Fedex, AA or Continental Airlines to have assistance send to Haiti at no cost, I may be contact at tycruz@aol.com to send donations from South Texas to Haiti.
