World Wide Help: February 2010

The World Wide Help Group

This blog was started by several founders and members of the SEA EAT (South East Asian Earthquake And Tsunami) blog, wiki and database, which gained worldwide attention at the time of the earthquake and tsunami on 26th December, 2004. The group, now The World Wide Help Group, has since remobilised to aid in other relief efforts.

8.8 Magnitude Earthquake in Chile

A massive 8.8 earthquake, one of the strongest ever recorded,struck South-central Chile at approximately 6:34 am UTC, cutting power and telecommunications in large sector of Santiago, the Chilean capital lcated 210 miles away, and triggering a tsunami alert as far away as Australia and Hawaii.
