Conditions Halt Mudslide Rescue in Phillipines

Rescue work to dig out up to 2500 people buried by a major mudslide in the central Philippines has been suspended.

The search has been temporarily halted amid fears of further slides.

Heavy rains triggered the landslide that virtually buried an entire farming village.
