The devastation in Burma (Myanmar) following Saturday's Cyclone Nargis appears to be much greater than originally thought. "We are looking at 50,000 dead and millions homeless," said Andrew Kirkwood, country director of the British charity Save The Children. "I’d characterise it as unprecedented in the history of Myanmar and on an order of magnitude with the effect of the tsunami on individual countries.
