Peru Quake: UNDAC Sends M2 Stand By Mobilization Message

Despite the lack of a formal request from the Government of Peru for international assistance, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Peru has requested for UNDAC team to be mobilized and a M2 stand by message has been issued to UNDAC team members from Argentina, Bolivia, El Salvador, Panama, the UK and in Peru.The mobilization and composition of the joint UN agency team with disaster relief clusters' expertise (health, water and sanitation, security, logistics, etc.) is now underway, pending confirmation of deployment within the next 24-36 hours.
